How was your extra day February? Wonder how often people with this birthday have problems filling out electronic forms, did the programmer think about a day that only occurs once every four years? According to an article I located on www.al.com, the date is the rarest birth day with about 1 in 1460 chance of being born on this date - guess these people should play the lottery. The are about 5 million people out of the 8 billion people on the plant that are considered leaplings, if you don't like to celebrate birthdays this would be a good day to be born. The outdoor motorcyle racing season starts this week, so my schedule is about to get busy. Enjoy your spring and hopefully you like whatever weather Mother Nature tosses your way.
The first image this month, also the mobile phone background, is from the Oklahoma City National Memorial. This is one memorial that I feel provides a wonderful tribute to those who lost their lives on a fateful day April 19, 1995. This image was captured at sunrise, during a return home from a spring break trip with my childern a few years ago. The memorial is wonderful to capture images during sunrise, sunset or night time - make sure you spend a little time in Oklahoma City and visit this gem. Camera Data: 40mm 1/50 sec F8 ISO800
Traditionally the Daytona 200 motorcycle race is the last weekend of Bike Week in Daytona Beach FL every year. Generally it seems like someone has a flawless race and appears to be way out in front of the pack. Last years Daytona 200 motorcycle race did not disappoint in close finishes, the seven racers shown here finished 0.439 seconds apart, two of the riders near the finish line were penalized for infractions earlier in the race, including the rider who crossed the line second. Similar to the 24 Hour of Daytona, the rider winning this event earn a Rolex watch. Camera Data: 200mm 1/2500 sec F11 ISO1600

For desktop computers or tablets, Right click on the text for the format you need and select Save As, save to a location on your device and change the background as needed for your OS.
For Mobile devices, most mobile phones are straight forward to download images but Apple users might need a few tips.
